About Us
The Castro Valley/Eden Area Chamber of Commerce is a member-driven association of businesses and community organizations that work together for the betterment of our communities through the promotion of economic and civic health. Established in 1937, the Chamber serves the communities of Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, and San Lorenzo.
Our Mission
The mission of the Castro Valley/Eden Area Chamber of Commerce is to lead our community toward sustainable economic growth, to advocate a pro-business climate for our members, to honor the historical foundations and future promise of the Area, and to establish, advocate and execute the community’s economic vision.
Part of the Community
The Chamber works to be a visible, active, and valuable part of the larger community through hosting or supporting annual events like the Castro Valley Fall Festival, the San Lorenzo Halloween Parade, the Cherryland Easter Egg Hunt, and Ashland’s Cinco de Mayo Festival.
A Clear Voice for Business
New businesses often need an advocate and ally to navigate the corridors of local government, and get smoothly through the start-up process. And when commerce is potentially impacted by proposed legislation, the Chamber is able to speak as one voice on behalf of our members.
Here for Everybody
New in town and need to know where to get a battery replaced for your watch? Need to know where to get your smart phone or tablet repaired? A restaurant that is child-friendly? Directions to the closest park? Who to call when your street light is out? The Chamber receives dozens of similar calls every week. These are our communities, let us help!
A Good Neighbor
Need a calm place to unwind for a few minutes? Just want to talk about what’s going on? We always have a pot of coffee and some cookies (well most of the time) for visitors and guests, and we love company. Stop in and say “Hi”.
